Three Pillars

Before I stood
Tall on my beliefs
all three of them
thinking they would not change
but then
I found him,
the one,
then one by one my pillars crumbled
and fell
I try to keep my balance
 I fall
I fear I will lose myself
 as I fall
I grow wings
 and fly

The Winter of the Soul

fall is coming
the days grow shorter
the nights come earlier
the chill in the air matches my heart

One Step forward at a time

I'm going to start telling the truth of my life as well as my mind. If you read everything on here bit by bit you will learn of not only my mind and soul but of my life as well. I'm worrying less about what people think of me and opening up more. This is my life and I am finally taking it back into my hands. This is the point where the history of my journey comes into the moon light.

You can follow or stay behind that is up to you but I shall continue.

The Beauty of Night

The Beauty of the Night
Night time is my favorite time, especially in the spring and winter months.
In the spring the night air often smells of the coming rain. It is a beautiful fresh clean scent that makes you want to take a deep
meditative breath. I have found that you can also see the moon as well. There is nothing better than laying on a blanket spread on the ground with a loved one looking up at the stars and enjoying the fresh clean air.

Yet it is just as nice to be outside looking at the stars in the arms of a loved one in winter. During the winter the stars are so clear. You can almost always make out the constellations. When the moon is full late at night the world changes. You can watch everything turn a silvery white where the snow or frost is lit up by the moon light.
Night time will always be my favorite time. I will always be a child of the night at heart.

Will you come join me in the beautiful night air?

Unexpected Beauty

The Beauty of Pain
Have you ever felt that kind of pleasurable pain that comes with passion and leaves your body in a state of erotic bliss? Have you ever felt the bliss of trusting your lover enough to let them cause you pain while knowing that pain will not go beyond the pleasurable level. Within that state of erotic bliss is where the beauty of pain lies.

The Beauty of Sex
Have you ever experienced passionate sex with someone after having desire and lust boiling just under your skin all day? Have you ever experienced that deep imitate connection of having your body intertwined around someone else. Sex is Beautiful.

The Beauty of Lust
Have you ever known someone who just the sight of or even thought of them sent a wave of desire rolled under your skin? Such strong lust and desire rolling in waves under the skin needs to be let out and that is the beauty of lust.

The Divine Beauty of the Natural World

Nature is beautiful. All Life and even death is beautiful. Once I realized that I came to this state of bliss. Bliss is not something that never goes away but something that comes back easily. Whenever life becomes difficult or makes me angry all I have to do is remember to look around at the beauty of this world and then I am once again in bliss.

The Crayon Box That Talked By Shane Derolf

While walking into a toy store the day before today
I overheard a crayon box with many things to say
"I don't like red!" said yellow and Green said "nor do I"
"and no one here likes Orange but no one knows just why"
"we are a box of crayons that doesn't get along
Said Blue to all the others "Something here is wrong"
Well, I bought that box of crayons and took it home with me
And laid out all the colors so the crayons all could see
They watched me as I colored with Red and Blue and Green
And Black and White and Orange and every color in between
They watched as green became the grass and blue became the sky
The yellow sun was shining bright on white clouds drifting by
Colors changing as they touched becoming something new
They watched me as i colored-They watched me till I was through
And when I finally finished I began to walk away
And as I did the crayon box had something more to say
"I do like Red!" said Yellow and Green said, "so do I"
And Blue you were terrific! So high up in the sky
"We are a box of crayons each one of us unique
But when we get together the picture is more complete"

Why Spider Webs Should be Purple.

Have you ever gone walking and walked straight into a spider web?
Well, I have and let me tell you it's not fun. I can never see it until I get right on it and sometimes I don't even see it at all. After I walk through a spider web I feel like I have some web on me for the rest on the day. I also worry about having a spider in my hair or on my skin.
I think that spider webs should be purple or some other color that I can see. I love spiders but I do not like walking into their webs.

This is my river

This river is mine I have swim here every minute of my life just at my mother and father did and their mothers and fathers before them. My mother told all my brothers my sisters and me to watch out for the humans hooks but Adam never listened. He liked to race around eating the worms bit by bit but one day the humans got him and I lost my friend. That was why I was alone at the top of the falls when the human girl stepped in my river. I wanted to be alone and she almost stepped on me and then she slipped. The current was fast and carried her away over the falls. I don't know why but I followed her. I guess I felt sorry for her.

Why you should always carry business cards with you

I always carry business cards with me because I never know who I am going to meet. I would hate to meet a writer or publisher and not have my business cards. Every person who I meet and talk with could be a potential client or a potential reader for my blog. Whenever I meet someone I always have my business cards in my pocket or in my bag so that if we start talking about writing or my blog I can give them one of my cards. I don’t just go walking around handing out my cards to everyone I know. I talk to the person and if it seems like they might be able to help me or if I might be able to help them that is when I give them my card.

My Tree

There was a big honey suckle tree in the middle of the playground at my elementary school. It looked more like a big bush then a tree. One day I had found a way to get inside. When I stood in the middle of those branches I felt safe. There in the sweet smelling shadows, I found that the trees major brunches formed a kind of natural bed floating among the flowers. I would spend my entire recess asleep in the tree. Soon all my teachers began to know where I was. They would pick a student to come wake me up. I loved that tree. I enjoyed four years of peaceful naps every summer breathing in the scent of honey suckles. Shortly after I left for middle school, the school cut down that tree.

It is not About the Destination but the Journey

One of my Favorite family activities is to travel. For us it is about the journey. We always get to our destination but we take the long way. We see and do many new things.

We were on our way to Branson Missouri, when we saw a sign for the nation's largest Bass Pro shop in Springfield, About 50 miles out of the way. Like I said we take the long way, but the Bass Pro shop was huge and it looked like a museum. All the indoor forest scenes and the fish tanks were beautiful.

Sometimes when we go somewhere we don't stop at something new. One time we were driving through a quaint little village, with many old-fashioned houses. Well as you can guess some were beautiful and others were falling apart. Looking at all those old houses sparked an interesting conversation about our dream houses and also architecture through the ages.

I also love traveling because I get to spend more time with my parents. More time is good when your parents work as much as mine. That fact that we drive everywhere is great because it means that we have many hours to talk about anything that comes to mind.

I am from

I am from the world yet I have not seen it. I am born of a love for countries I have never seen. The wind dances my soul across the world while my body begs to come along.
I am from the forest.
I am from the city.
I am from the sand, the water lapping at my feet begging to dance.
I am from the night, that blanket which holds me safe and warm.
I am from nature which gives me faith, life and hope.
I am from the world, the world that my soul sees and my body longs for.
I am from the music of the world dancing me across the land.

Beautiful in Spirit

You must make yourself beautiful in spirit. Everyone must have hope and faith. You must have dreams and values. You must be strong enough to stand by them. We are nothing without values and dreams. We must also love and care for the people in our lives.

Away of the Sun

sun sun go away,

After The Crash

Caffeine, nicotine, valium, tabs
Coffee and cigarettes
Breakfast of champions these days
Another dawn’s wasted regrets

Another pack another hit
Another choking breath
Make it through another day
It’s a tale, said Macbeth.

A Walk in the Night

The mountain stands tall and proud. She watches over me in her grace. The moon rises from behind the mountain every night. In the pale moon light the forest comes alive all around me.
The owl wakes to say "Hello child of the night, nice to see you again"
I stop and bow my head to his wise glory. As I walk deeper into the forest I know that I am climbing higher but the mountain in her loving grace keeps my path easy.
The wind wraps itself around me like a grandmother greeting a grandchild come home again after a long time away. "Welcome back to the night my child"
The wind stirs the leaves at my feet to reveal the hole I almost
stepped in.
The forest around me and the mountain under me whisper "Watch your step child"
I step around the hole, protected and safe in the night under the watchful eye of the loving
mountain and forest. I smile knowing that all of God’s Nature is watching out for me.

The Divine is everywhere

Nature is divine
life and death are part of nature
therefore they are also divine
be they plant, animal or human
every living creature deserves respect
not only in the way one acts and specks
but also in the way one thinks of them

It's All About Time

If you want to know how to keep a balance between being successful and giving back you must first define success. To me being successful is not about such things as cars, jets and large mansions, being successful is about time. Yes, money is part of it too but to me being successful really is all about time. What is the point of having money if you don’t have the time to go on trips or do something with your family whenever you want? Being successful is not just about how much money you have but also how much time you have. If you have time to do what you want and can still pay the bills then you have time to give back. Yes that’s right I said time to give back not money. I say this because if you give your time you begin to care on a much more personal level. There is always money floating around. Yes it seems as if there is never enough of it but money is not the real issue. If more people took the time to volunteer even for just one hour a week they would understand the problem on a more personal level. It is personal understanding which flues change. It is too easy to say you will give some money later if all you do is read about a problem. When you volunteer you get to know the problem and if it is one that stirs emotion in you then you have found your cause to become an activist for and if it does not stir emotion then you move on and volunteer somewhere else until you do find your cause. More passionate people are what the world needs, not people blindly handing out bits of money. Change the world one hour of volunteering at a time.

100,000 Nights

100,000 nights may I enjoy
not in sleep
awake may I be
100,000 nights may I enjoy
as a shadow
within the darkness
100,000 nights may I enjoy
full of lust, darkness and pleasurable pain
with you in the night
100,000 nights may i enjoy

A Night of Walking

She stared out the window for a few seconds trying to see past her reflection into the night. She took one last look and a deep breath before turning on her heel and walking the five feet to the desk. Here she stopped again leaning on the desk feeling too much air leave her body as she let out a deep breath. That’s the way it was with every breath not enough air in and always too much air let out. Once again she began her trek across the room. She made the trip hundreds of times during those four long hours on her feet stopping only to say ello as each of the guests came in through the double doors and then once again as each of them left she listened to the music floating to her from the other room. She was Glad she had switched to the doors. Even this far away the beat of songs like Ice Ice Baby pulsed painfully within her head.

Who Should Pay

One day I found myself thinking about relationships and first dates. When someone goes on a date, which person should pay? Should it be the guy, the girl or both? Everyone has an opinion, so I decided to interview some people.

One of my friends from high school, Athena Rose "When going on a date I think you should plan on going Dutch (50-50). Now if someone offers to pay let them just make sure you pay for something else throughout the date, or next time you everyone likes to be paid for so return the favor every once in awhile. It's not all up to a certain person."

Aaron says that “Typically on a first date I feel the man should pay for everything. After can be a different matter."

Olivia believes that "when you go out on a first date should pay. If it's going on a romantic dinner or something else, he should pay. But if it's like going out to the movies you both should pay. It actually depends. If he offers, make sure he's okay with it.”

Everyone has their own opinions on the subject. I agree that most of the time it should be that the man who pays, but I also hold a few exceptions to this rule. If it is the guy’s birthday or a day to celebrate something in his life such as a new job or honors in school or work then the girl should pay. I also believe that if she is the one to ask him out to the date then the girl should pay. That being said any other time I believe it should be the guy who pays.
